Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado, a Democrat, recently told National Public Radio that the FBI and the DOJ are stonewalling congress as they attempt to investigate the first assassination attempt on Donald Trump in Butler, PA.
One of the frustrating aspects of this crime is that the public still knows so little about the shooter and how he was able to get so close to Trump with so many obvious red flags. There are also still many lingering questions about motive.
Surprisingly, Crow claims that the Secret Service has been very forthcoming so far.
Breitbart News reports:
Dem Rep. Crow: FBI, DOJ Are Stonewalling on First Trump Assassination Attempt
On Friday’s broadcast of NPR’s “Morning Edition,” Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump Ranking Member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) stated that the Task Force got cooperation from the Secret Service, but the Department of Justice and FBI has refused to provide information relevant to the motives of the Butler shooter and if there were any other individuals involved in the shooting.
Crow said, [relevant remarks begin around 2:10] “The Secret Service was cooperative. We did have some challenges getting information from the Department of Justice and from the FBI. We’re going to continue to try to get that information so that we can get to the motives of the shooter on July 13.”
Crow claims that they are still waiting on an analysis of the shooter’s phone, which seems like a critical component of the investigation.

This is one of the many reasons why people are so enthusiastic about the idea of Kash Patel taking over the FBI. People want more transparency from America’s intelligence and law enforcement agencies. Especially with regards to the threats against Trump. People deserve to know all of the facts.
