Arizona Democratic lawmakers and activists got triggered by Trump Border Czar Tom Homan’s visit to the state and address to members of the State Legislature.
One House member even broke down in tears during a speech outside the Capitol.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Homan spoke to legislators in the Copper State Tuesday about the southern border and what the Trump Administration needs to stop the millions of violent criminals and terrorists who were allowed into our country under Joe Biden.

During his speech, a small group of liberals was seen outside the Capitol screaming and banging drums.

Arizona House Speaker Steve Montenegro told The Gateway Pundit “it’s sad” that the Democrats are focused on fighting for illegals “instead of the children that are missing, instead of the Americans that are losing their lives from fentanyl” or “individuals, like Laken Riley, who are losing their lives because of brutal terrorists.”
While the Border Czar was addressing lawmakers, Democrats stormed out of the Capitol as Homan began speaking about the over 300,000 children who were smuggled into this country and lost by the Biden regime. They were holding signs with the names of illegal aliens who were deported.
Homan responded with fire after they stood up to walk out, telling the lawmakers, “I love haters. They make my day.”
“They chose the wrong time to walk out,” Montenegro told The Gateway Pundit. “I think that we have to remind ourselves who elected us, who is expecting us to keep them safe, and those are Americans, Arizonans, who expect better from their elected officials.” He then slammed the Democrats’ sign stunt, saying, “Those are the names that should be on any signs.”
Democrat State Rep. Betty Villegas gave an angry and dishonest speech outside the Capitol after she and her colleagues left the building. She ranted about the rights of people who are in our country illegally and claimed that ICE “deports people who are lawfully present in this country.”
Villegas also accused Republicans in the legislature of “political theater,” while claiming that Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs’s SAFE initiative “has already taken over 6 million fentanyl pills off our streets.” However, Montenegro says he credits the law enforcement officers of Arizona for doing their job and the Trump Administration’s border reform for any success in combating the fentanyl crisis in Arizona.
WATCH:
Villegas: We’re here responding to political theater. The decision to bring Tom Homan to our capitol today is not about solving the real challenges we face at the border. It’s not about protecting public safety. It’s certainly not about supporting the hard working immigrant communities that are the backbone of our economy and culture in Arizona. What’s happening today is a farce, plain and simple, and the people of Arizona deserve better. Under Homan’s leadership, ICE was not only cruel, it is incompetent. Even by Trump era standards, it failed. His agency deports people who are lawfully present in this country. It separates families. It’s targeting people who have built lives here, who contribute, who pay taxes to raise, who raise children, and who care for their aging parents.
If Republicans truly wanted a serious conversation on the border, they would take a cue from Governor Hobbs’ SAFE initiative, which has already taken over 6 million fentanyl pills off our streets. That’s real leadership. That’s what public safety looks like. Instead, MAGA Republicans are trying to sell a false story that all undocumented people are criminals. That kind of rhetoric is dangerous. It’s wrong, and it hurts real people. These are not just numbers. They are people, people with families, people who go to church, who run businesses, who coach Little League, who care for our sick and our elderly, people who deserve dignity and due process. Speaker yesterday says we want to follow the rule of law. Not having due process is not following the rule of law! So yes, we walked out because we will not be part of a charade that tries to take away the fundamental rights of others because once you strip one group of their rights, it becomes easier to do it to the next and the next. We stand here today because we believe in a better Arizona, one rooted in truth, in compassion and enduring promise of justice for all.
Rep. Anna Abeytia cried as she spewed lies and gave a cringeworthy threat, mentioning she’s from the ghetto “West Side” of Phoenix and will not “stand idly by.” At one point, she accused Republicans of Fascism and White Supremacy and bizarrely called President Trump Republicans’ “political sugar daddy.”
WATCH:
Abeytia: I am here today to address the crucial issue that deeply affects our communities and our values as Americans. I will not sit quietly while the truth is whitewashed, while the reality of what’s happening is twisted to serve political agendas. Republicans are trying to clean up the political perception of these extra-judicial deportations by pushing false narratives, telling you not to believe your lying eyes. But I’m here to tell you that we will not let them sweep the truth under the rug. We know exactly what is happening, and we will not let them lie to Arizonans. I walked out today in protest because I refuse to be propagandized to about what the real issue is. Let’s be clear, this issue is not about border militarization. No, the issue is a broken immigration system and bad foreign policy. These are the real roots of the crisis. As a duly elected representative and as a proud Latina, I have the obligation to speak out in this moment, and I have an obligation to stand up for my community and stand up for what is right. It was my community of Maryville, one of the hardest hit communities during SB1070 and the rise of anti immigration sentiment. This is the same community that fought against injustice, against prejudice, and against hate. And now we are being targeted again, but this time, by a Trump hate wave. And let me be clear, I will not stand idly by. That is not what we do in the west side.
Arizonans elected Republicans. Arizona elected Republicans have made a choice. They’ve decided to throw the rule of law into the gutter, all in the name of satisfying their political sugar daddy, Donald Trump. They’ve thrown away their responsibility to uphold justice in favor of preserving their political power. These Republican officials, today’s Republican leaders, believe in power over patriotism, and that is a dangerous thing. What we’re seeing now happening in our communities is disgusting. We are seeing families torn apart, lives ruined, and asylum seekers being deported, deported to tortured prisons in El Salvador, where the judges have specifically ordered that they not be deported there. Why is this happening? Because today’s Republican Party is being led by people who are more interested in advancing their fascist White supremacist agenda than following the law. These are not people who care about justice. They care about control. They care about causing division and fear, and they will do anything, anything to enact their agenda. But I am here today to say enough is enough. I will not stand by and watch them terrorize my community. We will not let them dismantle the fabric of our society. We are here to stand up to these bullies. We say that we will not tolerate this cruelty, this law, this lawlessness, nor this hatred, hatred. We will fight back. We will continue to fight for our families, for our communities and for our dignity. We are standing on business here today because we are fighting for what’s right, and I will never apologize for that.
