A chemistry department Teaching Assistant at John Hopkins University bragged on the internet that she was considering lowering students grades for the “crime” of being Zionist according to Campus Reform.
According to a pro Israel group known as StandWIthUS, Rasha Anayah posted on X “ethical dilemma: if you have to grade a zionist students [sic] exam, do you still give them all their points even though they support your ethnic cleansing? like idk.”
She also is alleged to have posted in response to support for this that “like I agree but also too many of you want me to get fired.”
After seeing the tweets StandWithUs wrote a letter to John Hopkins, In it they stated the situation requires “immediate attention”
The letter also advised investigating whether Anayah was discriminatory on previous assignments. Yet again we see the malicious effects of DEI and Anti Western thought effecting the way Universities “educate”.
Some other members of The John Hopkins faculty penned a letter saying among other things the faculty “understand the protean character of antisemitism and the ease with which people can convince themselves and others of the collective guilt of targeted groups and the ‘need’ to ‘punish’ them.”
Her tweets have since been deleted.
Sadly, this is part of a pattern targeting pro-Israel Jewish and White American students for collective guilt and making collective accusations in academia.
The school’s newspaper quoted Provost Sunil Kumar and interim Dean John Toscano as saying, “We are aware of an incident of alleged antisemitism and potential abuse of authority in the discharge of academic responsibilities on our campus. Any link between grading and bias runs counter to our values and policies, and we are taking all necessary steps to ensure that does not occur.” In other words, they are saying all the right things, but this does not mean steps are actually being taken to prevent these types of things from happening again.
This whole incident reflects the DEI mindset, which remains rampant on campuses throughout the country. In this equation, people from third-world countries are always in the right, while people of the West and Western ideas are always wrong. This is discrimination in different words.
This has been reported many times and sadly will most likely continue as some Ivy League schools have shown they are willing to lose funding to safeguard DEI, or Diversity Equity and Inclusion, as well as continue to bring in students from countries where America and its ally Israel are looked down upon.
President Trump has worked hard to end these bad practices in universities; however, without cooperation from these liberal deans and the schools themselves, it will be very hard to actually end this environment of anti-Western hate.
