Minnesota Governor Tim Walz got completely humiliated on Thursday after getting caught lying about his state’s policy on illegal immigration during a congressional hearing.
As CBS reported, three Democratic governors testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on their sanctuary state policies, which reward illegal aliens over lawful U.S. residents. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker, and Walz were among those testifying.
Walz started off his testimony with a despicable lie about his record on immigration. He denied that Minnesota is a sanctuary state and said he never signed a law establishing it as one.
He then went on to claim that his state cooperates with Homeland Security when there is a warrant for an illegal alien’s arrest and when there is ‘due process.”

But Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) saw through Walz’s lie and lit him up. He not only pointed out a series of laws coddling illegal aliens in Minnesota, but also reminded Walz how he has handcuffed law enforcement for years.
Walz could only sit silently and squirm as Emmer read him the riot act.

EMMER: In May 2020, looting, arson, and acts of violence occurred on YOUR watch in Minneapolis after you refused to bring in the National Guard. Governor, your agenda is clear: free healthcare, free driver’s licenses for illegals, while handcuffing law enforcement when they’re trying to protect citizens in our communities.
If you think that’s not a sanctuary state, you shouldn’t be governor! By turning Minnesota into a magnet for illegals, you have opened up our communities to dangerous criminals, including known terrorists, gang members, murderers, and child predators.
You have sent a resounding message that if you are a hard-working, law-abiding citizen of Minnesota, your safety and well-being are not the priorities of Tim Walz and his administration! But if you come to our state illegally…You’re entitled to free stuff on the taxpayer’s dime.
“Governor Walz, your sanctuary state agenda has been defined by your utter failure. You have failed to enforce the rule of law, uphold our national sovereignty, and, most importantly, fail the people of Minnesota.
The time for radical state policy is over! The voters made that clear last November when they elected President Trump and Vice President JD Vance. You remember him, don’t you?
