Lauren Boebert and boyfriend wear Mexican woman and ICE agent Halloween costumes
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and her boyfriend were captured on camera on Friday night at a Halloween party in Colorado, dressed as an illegal alien and an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.
Boebert wore a Mexican dress and a sombrero, and her boyfriend, Kyle Pearcy, wore an ICE vest with military clothing underneath.
Even better, their outfits reportedly came complete with a chalkboard sign that read, “Mexican Word of the day: JUICY. Tell me if Juicy Ice coming,” a tease of the Spanish pronunciation of “you see.”
Of course, this Y2K-style humor triggered some leftists and even went unappreciated by some conservatives, according to one person who described the get-up as “the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.”
Per ABC:
A chalkboard sign that appeared in other photos from a separate public event the couple attended the same night which are widely circulating online was slung on the back of a chair and is out of the frame in the pictures, according to a party guest who spoke to ABC News.
The text on the sign, which appears to be joke mocking the pronunciation of “you see” said “Mexican Word of the day: JUICY. Tell me if Juicy Ice coming.”
“It is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Even the conservatives [at the party] were in shock. People avoided them,” a person who attended the party said.
In a statement to ABC News, Boebert’s office said, “It’s a Halloween costume. Tell our Senators to vote for the CR and open the government. They are choosing to let millions of American families suffer.”
The move also sparked outrage from Boebert’s comedy-hating leftist opponent, Trishia Calvarese, who lost to Boebert in the last election.
In a virtue signaling X post, Calvarese described the costume as “hateful.”
Lauren Boebert put more effort into a hateful Halloween party costume than she ever has into serving the people of Colorado’s 4th Congressional District. I’m Trisha Calvarese, the former public servant whose going to fire her. Help me out, RT, follow, pitch in if you can. pic.twitter.com/MkZBIikUdy

Other Democrats are demanding an apology from Boebert over the funny costume.
Per the Denver Post, State Senator Julie Gonzales, the co-chair of the Colorado Democratic Latino Caucus, accused Boebert of cultural appropriation and described the joke as “sick,” while pushing a dubious claim that “Coloradans with lawful immigration status in her own district, such as fifth-grade teacher Marina Ortiz, are being detained by ICE after doing everything that has been asked of them.”
Meanwhile, while the reactions were mixed, many on social media found the costume funny, with one user writing, “I’m Mexican American and I think it’s funny.”
