Attorney General Pam Bondi (White House).
Attorney General Pam Bondi provided an update on President Trump’s efforts to make crime-riddled cities safer for Americans, including Memphis, Tennessee.
The Gateway Pundit reported that President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum to establish a “Memphis Safe Streets Task Force” to stop crime in Memphis, Tennessee, “just like we did in DC,” he said.
He shared in the announcement,“The effort will include the National Guard, as well as the FBI, ATF, DEA, ICE, Homeland Security Investigations, and the US Marshals, and more along with the prosecutors. We’re going to have DOJ, led by the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Tennessee.”
In her update, AG Bondi was joined by two other members of the administration, along with Tennessee’s governor and two state senators, to praise the efforts of the Memphis Safe Streets Task Force.
“You’re not with your families,” Bondi said. “Many of you are not going to be with your families on Thanksgiving. We are so grateful for your service and your sacrifice.”
The update noted that in the past 56 days, there have been more than 3,000 arrests, 500 illegal weapons seized, and 121 reported missing children located.
Tennessee’s Governor Bill Lee (R) shared that the murder rates have been cut in half and crime rates in Memphis are at their lowest level in 20 years.
Attorney General Bondi addressed efforts to block the use of the National Guard in Memphis, adding, “Unfortunately, the safety of our community has been compromised by some judges who continue to obstruct our efforts.”
“I wish they are all watching this, and I hope they’re seeing what we’re doing here in Memphis.”
“We will not coddle violent criminals at the expense of law-abiding citizens.”

In October, a video shared on social media showed a young boy sharing the true impact of making blue cities safer and had a message for President Trump.
“I’ve been noticing not just a slight change, more of a (unclear) change in how peaceful Memphis is ever since the National Guard came,” he shared.
“There was a lot of things I couldn’t do before the National Guard came because I had to worry a lot about guns and stuff.”
“I couldn’t play because I was worried that somebody might pull out a gun or something.”
“But now I could do that, and I just wanted to thank the President of the United States for bringing the National Guard.”
