Macron, Merz, and Starmer: unpopular and unsuccessful.
They see themselves as the three Musketeers – but are they?
Three failing leaders with no popular support at home keep trying to insert themselves into the Russia-Ukraine peace process.
And most of what they do is try hard to derail all the US President Donald J. Trump’s initiatives.
The problem is, if they success at that too much, Trump may just walk out and leave them with the whole Ukraine hot potato from them deal with – which they can’t, for lack of money, weapons, ammo and even troops.
So, even if they win, they’ll lose: they are just three stooges.
A video of British PM Keir Starmer, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, right, went viral after several online claims that Macron hid illicit drugs in front of the cameras. (@AFP / X screen shot)
We are talking, of course, of Emmanuel Macron, Keir Starmer, and Friedrich Merz. Let’s look at their sinking popularity levels:
Keir Starmer (City AM/Freshwater Strategy, November 2025)
Positive (approve): 23%
Negative (disapprove): 70%
Emmanuel Macron (Verian Group, October 2025)
Approval: 11%
Disapproval: 89%
Friedrich Merz (INSA for Bild, December 2025)
Approval: 23%
Disapproval: 77%
You read it right: those guys – that 89%, 77% and 70% of their citizens oppose – seem to think they have a broad mandate to interfere in the peace process, and to be an opposing pole against the overwhelming peace pressure from Donald J. Trump.

Today (8), the stooges will meet again in London.
Starmer will host Macron, Merz and their inevitable ‘hero’ Volodymyr Zelensky.
The will reportedly discuss ‘the situation in Ukraine’ (a.k.a. Ukraine’s frontlines collapsing) and the ongoing negotiations under US mediation.

Reuters reported:
“’Ukraine can count on our unwavering support. That is the whole point of the efforts we have undertaken as part of the Coalition of the Willing’, Macron said on X.
‘We will continue these efforts alongside the Americans to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, without which there can be no robust and lasting peace. For what is at stake in Ukraine is also the security of Europe as a whole’, he added.”
Macron condemned the weekend strikes targeting Ukraine’s energy and rail infrastructure.
“‘Russia is locked into an escalatory approach and is not seeking peace … We must continue to put pressure on Russia to force it to make peace’, he added.”
