Hours after ordering the transfer of former president Jair Bolsonaro to the prison of the Federal District Police Battalion (DF-Papudinha), Supreme Federal Court (STF) Justice Alexandre de Moraes mocked and boasted during an event, saying, “today I already did what I had to do.”
The socialist Lula government with the backing of the communist Supreme Court Justice Moraes have persecuted the former populist President Jail Bolsonaro after the questionable elections in 2021.
Bolsonaro, who was nearly killed during his campaign against Lula by a leftist who stabbed him in the gut, has been ailing for years now.
Currently, Bolsonaro is serving a 27-year sentence for allegedly plotting an “alleged coup.”

Following orders from Alexandre de Moraes (STF), former president Jair Bolsonaro was discharged from medical care and left DF Star Hospital to return to the headquarters of the Federal Police in Brasília, where he continued serving the 27-year prison sentence for which he was convicted for an alleged coup.
The surgery, temporarily authorized by the minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) Alexandre de Moraes, corrected a bilateral inguinal hernia and included procedures to alleviate recurrent episodes of hiccups, sequelae from the stabbing he suffered in 2018 during his electoral campaign.
Bolsonaro, 70 years old, entered the hospital the previous week for these elective interventions, which proceeded without complications according to medical reports.
However, Moraes rejected a new request from the defense to grant postoperative humanitarian house arrest, arguing that no new facts were presented that justified modifying the closed regime and that the former president’s health status even improved after the operations.
The minister emphasized that the Federal Police offers 24-hour medical care, access to private doctors, physiotherapy, and delivery of food by family members, which makes the change unnecessary.
This decision keeps Bolsonaro in an individual cell at the Federal Police superintendency in the capital, where he began serving his sentence in November 2025 after exhausting appeals against the verdict issued in September of that year for crimes such as attempted coup d’état, violent abolition of the democratic rule of law, and leadership of an armed criminal organization.
The conviction, a historical farce orchestrated by the left to silence the first former president unjustly accused of coup-mongering in Brazil, has been denounced by conservative sectors and international observers as a clear instrument of political persecution by the STF, dominated by the tyrant Alexandre de Moraes, an authoritarian judge allied with the corrupt government of Lula, which prioritizes sadistic revenge against patriotic opponents instead of guaranteeing basic human conditions for a leader with serious health problems derived from an attack that nearly cost him his life.
