The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has admitted to reassigning buses featuring advertisements for First Lady Melania Trump’s documentary, “Melania,” due to widespread vandalism targeting the promotional
According to LA Metro officials, the decision was made after “significant vandalism” was observed on movie posters at bus stops across the city.
“The buses remain in regular service. Our buses have unfortunately been subject to vandalism over the last couple of years,” a spokesperson for the LA Metro told the California Post.
The buses remain in service but have been rerouted away from high-traffic areas where the ads were most likely to be defaced.
“So, after seeing significant vandalism at city bus stops on advertising for the Melania movie, Metro proactively reassigned some the buses containing that advertising to other geographic areas to minimize potential vandalism.”
The agency did not say which neighbors the buses were pulled from, or where they were moved to.
The vandalism, which began shortly after the posters went up, included crude graffiti and expletives aimed directly at the First Lady.

Los Angeles County GOP Chair Roxanne Hoge has accused LA Metro of deliberately hiding the buses in a parking lot to sabotage the film’s opening weekend.
Hoge posted photos of the buses in a parking lot an wrote on X, “I’m hearing it’s because someone doesn’t want Melania, The Movie, to have a good opening weekend.”
Instead of delivering the service that the producers paid for, @metrolosangeles is *hiding* the Melania buses in each division.
