Law enforcement officers are investigating new doorbell camera footage of a suspicious man near Nancy Guthrie’s home a week before she was abducted.
On January 23, a man was spotted on a Ring camera at 3:30 am and again at 5:00 am.
The Ring camera owner posted the video to the Neighbor App.
This home is approximately 5 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s Pima County home.
TMZ said police are investigating the new Ring camera footage as a possible lead.
TMZ reported:
New video’s surfaced in the search for Nancy Guthrie’s kidnappers … a man in Tucson with a goatee, who creepily approached a doorbell camera one week before Nancy was taken, and TMZ has learned cops are giving it a hard look.
The video was originally posted January 23 on Ring’s Neighbors app, and it shows the guy intentionally backing up to the front door of a home about 6.5 miles from where Savannah Guthrie’s mother lives.
The man clearly didn’t want to be seen, but the camera still got a good shot of him as he rang the doorbell around 5 AM. The homeowner who posted the vid says the would-be intruder fled when their dogs started barking.
A high-ranking law enforcement source, connected to the investigation, tells TMZ … the FBI and Pima Co. Sheriff’s Dept. are aware of this video, and they’re treating it as a potential lead.
TMZ posted a video of the new Ring camera footage but blurred out the man’s face.

Video posted to social media shows the suspicious man’s face. He has facial hair similar to the man seen in chilling Nancy Guthrie porch video posted by the FBI.

Police also investigated footage of a man wearing a backpack similar to the person seen on the chilling Nancy Guthrie porch doorbell footage. That man was cleared of having any involvement in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
