The Pima County Sheriff on Monday cleared Nancy Guthrie’s family members as possible suspects in the abduction case.
This means Tommaso Cioni, Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law who was the last person to see her alive, has been ruled out as a suspect.
The FBI raid on a home two miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home this weekend ended up being fruitless.
Three people were detained but police did not make any arrests.
Law enforcement still has not identified a suspect in the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping case, more than two weeks after she was abducted from her home.
“The Guthrie family — to include all siblings and spouses — has been cleared as possible suspects in this case,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said Monday.
“The family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,” he added.
“To suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simple,” he said.

On Sunday evening, Savannah Guthrie pleaded with her mother’s abductor and said it’s never too late to do the right thing.
“I wanted to come on, and um, it’s been two weeks since our mom was taken, and I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope, and we still believe,” Savannah Guthrie said.
“And I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is, that it’s never too late and you’re not lost or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing. And we are here,” she said.
There may be a huge break in the case.
The FBI on Sunday said one of the gloves found a couple of miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home matches the glove to the person seen in the chilling porch doorbell video.

One of the 16 gloves matches the glove seen on the subject in the Nancy Guthrie surveillance video.
DNA from an unknown male was recovered from the glove and has been sent out to a lab for processing.
The FBI said DNA results are imminent.
