Videos are going viral in social media regarding a very unusual incident that took place Thursday (12), in Kumamoto City, Japan.
The owner of a sweet potato food truck that caught fire decided to drive the vehicle to the fire station, dashing across the city in a blazing truck!
Yes, you read it right.

According to the fire department, the truck for the sale of baked sweet potatoes was driven by a man in his 70s that was able to reach the Nishi Fire Station.
The Sun reported:
“The driver ran red lights in his truck-turned-fireball through the streets of Kumamoto City. The flames engulfed the vendor van at around 10pm on March 12 and locals were quick to film the flaming spectacle.
The blazing truck careened around a bend, music blaring and lights twinkling from its vendor trade. Thick plumes of smoke spiraled off the truck as it continued down the highway at high speed.”

On the night of the 12th, in Kumamoto City, a truck selling baked sweet potatoes drove about 2 kilometers while making a fire and rushed to the fire station. No one was injured.

The lucky driver escaped unharmed, as the local firefighters extinguished the fire.
“The van was burnt to a crisp, leaving behind only a blackened skeleton.
One commenter on X quipped: ‘Japanese society is so civilized that the fires simply drive themselves to the fire station’.”
