Maduro is lashing out: constant purges among officials and relentless persecution of oppositionists.
As the US military pressure ramps up, the Socialist thugs are craking down on the opposition.
A report out of Maracaibo, Venezuela, says that the Nicolas Maduro regime has made no less than 54 political arrests in the last 30 days.
Versión Final reported (translated from Spanish):
“Of this number, 44 people remain detained. Meanwhile, 22 belong to Vente Venezuela. In addition, the capture of students from the UCV school was reported this Friday.
Orlando Moreno, national coordinator of the Human Rights Committee of Vente Venezuela (VV), warned this Saturday that 54 people were arrested in the country in October, of which only ten have been released.”
Peace Nobel Prize winner Maria Corina Machado.
Moreno says that ‘22 of the detained are activists from María Corina Machado’s party, eight from other political parties, and fourteen are members of civil society’.
He demanded their immediate release.
“’On average, one arrest occurred every 15 hours, an alarming figure that has resulted in dozens of families being physically and emotionally harmed, simply for thinking differently’, stated the Committee’s national coordinator.
Likewise, Moreno emphasized that this statistic corresponds ‘only to the cases that have been confirmed’, without mentioning ‘possible kidnappings or forced disappearances that have not been reported due to fear or lack of awareness’.”
