Chloe Day School, a “progressive” public preschool in New York City, staged an anti-ICE protest and held anti-Trump signs in the classroom.
“The Chloe Day School and Wellness Center is a public preschool and wellness space that takes a progressive approach to learning, child development, and family empowerment,” Chloe Day School says.
“We believe children are naturally curious and capable of making meaningful discoveries when given opportunities to explore, play, and engage with their environment,” the school says.
“Children thrive best when supported by strong and healthy families,” they said.
“We are a progressive, trauma-informed Early Childhood program and Summer Arts Camp. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired school that believes in diversity and inclusion,” the school boasts on its website.
Libs of TikTok posted a video of children at Chloe Day School protesting ICE and expressing anger over the immigration operations.
“I feel angry because I don’t like to see others hurt or taken away from their families,” a child said after being coached by the teacher.
The teacher coached other children to say, “stop the hating!.”
“What do we want to tell people?” the teacher said to the children.
“Enough is enough! Stop hurting people!” the children shouted.
“And what do we want to say as a school?” the teacher shouted.
“Love is enough! Stop hurting people!” the children said.
