President Trump on Sunday posted a video trolling 84-year-old Senator Mitch McConnell for his cognitive decline and his refusal to support the SAVE Act to require voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote.
The House passed the SAVE Act last month, sending it to the Senate for consideration before Trump can sign it into law.
Due to some Republicans opposing the bill and a lack of Democratic support, the Senate must invoke a standing filibuster to pass the bill with only 51 votes, rather than the 3/5ths required under the current rule.
But several Republicans have said they will not nuke the filibuster. Mitch McConnell and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) oppose the SAVE Act.
Trump posted a video from the “Weekend at Bernie’s” film, where Richard and Larry are dragging Bernie’s corpse around and pretending that he’s alive.
The meme reads, “Mitch McConnell arriving to block the Save Act in as a last ditch attempt to save his name.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Rep. Tim Burchett went off on McConnell last week, revealing that McConnell is the main reason that the SAVE Act has not passed in the Senate.
