Radical Democrat Governor Janet Mills, who is currently trying to fail upward into a U.S. Senate seat, was cornered this week and asked to account for her blatant lies regarding Joe Biden’s cognitive state.
Instead of an apology to the people of Maine for participating in one of the greatest cover-ups in American history, Mills offered a sickening laugh, dismissively smirking when asked why voters should ever trust her judgment again.
The Gateway Pundit has previously reported on how Democrat governors across the country acted as a “Praetorian Guard” for the Biden regime, shielding the public from the reality of a Commander-in-Chief who was clearly unfit for office.
Mills was among the most vocal, peddling the lie that Biden was “sharp” and “vigorous” even as the rest of the world saw the truth.
During an appearance on MSNBC, host Elise Jordan pressed Mills on the glaring contradiction between her public defense of Biden following his disastrous 2024 debate performance and her later admission that she privately urged him to step aside.
Watch the moment Mills realizes she’s been caught in her own web of lies:
Elise Jordan:
You said that asking candidates questions about their health—well, a lot of journalists and a lot of voters did that in the summer of 2024. And you defended Biden after his disastrous debate.
You said, quote, “Over the next several months, and especially in the coming days, I look forward to the president demonstrating to the American people the same heart, determination, and vigor he brought to our conversation this evening.”
But then, in a recent interview with The Atlantic, you said that you felt he should drop out and encouraged it privately. But you still gave that statement, and you said that his decision to run again, quote, “that was sad.”
So why should voters trust your judgment now, when you had one opinion privately that was very impactful on the fate of our country in the grand scheme of things, and then now, when you’re vouching for your own health—tell us why we should trust you?
Janet Mills:
Listen, I wasn’t going to kick the guy when he’s down, honestly. But we had a meeting with the president just a few weeks or so after the horrible debate, and I was one of the people who spoke up and said—all of the governors, Democratic governors, called for this meeting in order to try to dissuade him from running. That didn’t work at that time.
