As many of you know, I’m an idea man. I don’t just criticize- like 99% of TV and radio hosts. I contribute with doable solutions.
I’ve presented many unique and creative ideas to President Trump over the past decade. He’s adopted several of them. Here is one more.
Everyone assumes there are only two ways to end the Iran War….
First, simply leave now. Cut and run. Declare victory and head home. Which will be great for our economy- stocks, gold, Bitcoin, inflation, interest rates, gas prices, jobs- everyone of those would go in a positive direction. Good for Americans. Good for investors. Good for the midterms. Win-win.
And why not? President Trump has achieved virtually all of his objectives. We’ve punished Iran severely and set them back a decade (or decades). We’ve destroyed most of their military. Their Air Force is gone. Their Navy is at the bottom of the sea. We’ve killed almost every one of their political and military leaders.
The US military has proven our power to the rest of the world. This has been the most incredible, remarkable lethal display of military might in history. Combined with the most daring military rescue operation in history.
And so far, we’ve lost a grand total of 13 men. Thirteen. No amount is a good number. Every American life is precious, but 13 deaths in a war this lethal is remarkable. Keep in mind we lost over 420,000 American military heroes in World War 2.
420,000.
Can you imagine Americans accepting this kind of death toll today? Today the American people are upset, shocked, stressed out and impatient after five weeks and 13 deaths.
Today we have lost 7 military aircraft in this Iran war. SEVEN.
In WW2 we lost over 60,000 planes. In Vietnam we lost over 10,000 planes.
The reality is, in this instant gratification world we live in, with news media on the ground bringing back instant images of war, and social media, and Democrats rooting and praying for America to lose (so that Trump is humiliated), we could never fight a 4-year world war with hundreds of thousands of casualties.
So, why not declare victory and leave now?
It makes sense. Win-Win. Except Iran will be back within years, maybe months, causing all the exact same problems. They will rebuild their military- with help from China and Russia. They will certainly attempt to rebuild their nuclear program. They will continue to torture, gang rape, and murder their own innocent citizens. They will still be able to close the Strait of Hormuz at any time, on a whim- once our Navy has packed up and gone home. And they will continue lobbing missiles at Israel.
The next U.S. President, or the one after that, or the one after that, will have to deal with the world’s worst rogue terrorist state all over again.
How about Option #2.
We can “end civilization as we know it” for Iran by bombing all of their infrastructure- bridges, factories, power plants, oil facilities and water treatment plants. Destroy them to the point they will never recover. End of story.
Here’s the problem with that option. When we nuked Japan and firebombed Berlin, we had to do it, to break the will of the people, who supported the war. In this case, the Iranian people are on our side. They are rooting for America. They love President Trump. They even helped our injured pilots avoid capture!
The Iranian people despise their own government. So, we really don’t want to nuke them, or bomb them back to the Dark Ages. We don’t want to “end their civilization.”
We want to help the people. We want to free the people. We only want to punish and kill their leaders and their military.
So, what is behind Door #3? I may have a better strategy.
It’s clear with just today’s violations of the ceasefire (already!), Iran still does not take our threats seriously. It’s clear with their proposed peace plan, Iran is still not serious. We can’t just declare victory and go home. But we can’t just end their civilization all in one night either.
So, here’s my idea. Instead of a hard deadline to “end civilization” and destroy their country forever, let’s try “Show and Tell.”
Rather than all or nothing, let’s “end civilization” one power plant at a time, one oil or gas facility at a time, one water treatment plant at a time.
After each major strike- with lights out, or water out, or gas out of business for one major sector- demand total unconditional surrender.
If their answer is no, we hit another major oil, or gas, or water, or power plant. Keep twisting the knife. Keep “ending civilization” one major hit at a time. After each one, demand surrender.
That’s “Show and Tell.” This proves we mean business. This proves we will eventually (if they keep saying NO to surrender) “end civilization” as they know it. We aren’t fooling around.
As each major power source is destroyed, we keep offering them the chance to surrender.
If they don’t, that’s on them.
President Trump and America were more than fair. If in the end, we have to go to the final option, and “completely end civilization” as they know it, we are not to blame. We gave them every opportunity to avoid total destruction. America was the good guy. There can be no world anger and finger pointing.
And as a bonus, this is Exhibit A for President Trump’s “Peace Through Strength” strategy- this is how we teach the world a lesson.
This strategy is similar to how we ended WW2. We dropped one atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945. Japan still refused to surrender. So, we dropped a second atomic bomb on Nagasaki on August 9th.
Japan, fearing “the end of their civilization,” finally capitulated, and agreed to unconditional surrender.
But what we did not do, was drop ten atomic bombs on ten cities across Japan all at once. We dropped them one at a time, and gave them a chance after each bombing to surrender.
I call it “Show and Tell.”
Let’s hit Iran the same exact way as we hit Japan to end WW2. But no nukes needed. We have the most powerful conventional bombs in world history. We can wipe out power, water, gas and oil- one major target at a time. Until Iran’s leaders come to their senses.
And President Trump will be seen as fair and merciful. He gave Iran every chance to end the pain. He never used nukes. And he never bombed civilian populations.
That’s our 3rd option. “Show and Tell.”
