President Trump confirmed in an interview on Tuesday with the New York Post’s Miranda Devine that he was “perturbed” with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week over Israel’s attacks in Lebanon, which jeopardized the fragile ceasefire with Iran.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Iran suspended talks with the US on Monday over Israel’s ground invasion of Lebanon. Trump made phone calls to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Hezbollah representatives to end the fighting, and he reportedly went off on Netanyahu, calling him “f**king crazy.”
When asked about the exchange on Miranda Devine’s Pod Force One podcast, Trump confirmed he had used those terms. “I wouldn’t say angry; I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know? At some point, I said, Bibi we got to stop this. You’ve got to stop it,” he said.
“But I have a very good relationship. We’ve done well, done well together,” Trump added. “I’m a wartime president, he’s a wartime prime minister, very important part of the world, and I think we’ve done very well. We’ve, we’ve gotten along very well together.”
Trump further responded to claims that Netanyahu and Israel tricked him into attacking Iran, telling Devine, “He tricked me? I mean, I’m the one that started it, because again, I don’t want to bore anybody, but I started, because we can’t let them have a nuclear weapon.”
“If I didn’t do that. Attack, Iran would have had a nuclear weapon, and they would have used it almost immediately,” he added. “If I didn’t do that. Attack, Iran would have had a nuclear weapon, and they would have used it almost immediately.”

Devine: Axios reported that you had a phone call with Bibi Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, in which you were angry with him. You said, ‘Are you effing crazy? What are you effing doing? I helped you stay out of jail.’ Is that true? Did you speak to him in those terms?
Trump: I did. I wouldn’t say angry; I was a little bit perturbed at his constantly fighting with Lebanon, you know? At some point, I said, Bibi we got to stop this. You got to stop it. But I have a very good relationship. We’ve done well, done well together. He always says we could never have done it, but everybody knows that we could have never done it without the United States, but we’ve, we’ve, I’ve worked very well together. I like Bibi a lot, and I’ve worked very well with him. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump “lashed out” at Netanyahu in an “expletive-laden” phone call, according to Axios.
According to the report, Trump called Netanyahu “crazy,” accused him of ingratitude, referenced helping keep him out of jail during his corruption trial, and yelled things like “What the f**k are you doing?”
Remarks summarized by a source familiar with the call include “You’re f**king crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this.”
Sources also said Trump was concerned about civilian casualties in Lebanon and Israel knocking down buildings to take out single Hezbollah commanders.
