Joe Biden on Sunday incoherently slurred through a speech again, struggling to read a teleprompter while delivering remarks on the fall of Syria’s government.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime has collapsed as rebel forces, led by Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the former commander of Al-Qaeda and now leader of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), entered Damascus with minimal resistance.
President-elect Donald Trump has asserted that the United States should refrain from military involvement in Syria, emphasizing that the conflict is not America’s fight and should be allowed to play out without US intervention.
The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that long-time ruler Bashar al Assad and his family fled the capital, Damascus, leaving orders for the military to surrender and to the officials to enact a peaceful transition of power to the radical Islamists.
Biden spoke earlier for eight minutes and apparently got tired. The White House turned comments off of the video on YouTube.
Here are some highlights of Biden’s lies and embarrassing demeanor:
During his speech, Biden took credit for Assad fleeing, claiming that Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia are “far weaker today than when I took office.”
He slurred and stumbled through the speech, having a visibly hard time reading his script from a teleprompter:
“These past few days have been historic and, you know, uh, it’s the days ahead that will determine the future of our— this country. And we intend to approach them with strength, wisdom, and resolve,” Biden rambled on, looking defeated and intimidated by his teleprompter.
Finally, while walking out of the room, Biden told reporters that American hostage Austin Tice is believed to be alive, “and Assad should be held accountable.” Immediately after the exchange, a reporter asked, “Have you directed an operation to go get him?” Biden responded, “Get who?”
The old man is shot.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, on Thursday, President Trump announced his administration has reached out to the Syrian regime and has requested the release of US journalist Austin Tice, a Marine veteran and American journalist, who disappeared in Syria on August 13, 2012.
In November 2018, US officials announced that Austin Tice was still alive and being held in Syria.
Investigators reportedly have “every reason to believe” that Tice is still being held in Syria.
