James Ehren Knowles – never been arrested Proud Boys infiltrator
In July 2022, the Gateway Pundit ran an article by Cara Castranova.
The article uncovered an FBI Informant that had infiltrated the Kansas City Proud Boys chapter. This man is James “Jimmy” Knowles. He was never arrested for January 6th but has been named in several J6 cases as an informant. His information has only proven to be helpful to the prosecution and to the J6 narrative that has been pushed by the left, over these past nearly four years.

Billy Chrestman is one of the J6ers who has been irreparably damaged by this governmental stooge. He wants everyone to know how James Knowles entrapped these people and how he encouraged Billy to go to Washington DC on January 6th. For nearly four years, Chrestman has had to remain silent about this person. However, he is out of prison now and ready to let everyone know how he was completely set up.
Chrestman was recently released from prison. He had been incarcerated since February 2021. He lived in the horrific conditions of the DC Gulag and many other holding facilities throughout the country. He was taken from his family and put in solitary confinement. He was called a domestic terrorist, a white supremacist, a racist, and everyone’s favorite…Nazi.
“I have kids who are 1/4 Jewish and 1/4 Cuban, and my other daughter is 1/2 Mexican. If I’m a white supremacist, I’m doing it all wrong.” says Chrestman.
Judge Beryl Howell returned to the bench to take on Chrestman’s case. She began legislating from the bench by creating a set of guidelines to prevent pre-trial release.
During this Court’s consideration of motions for the pretrial release or detention of several defendants charged in relation to the events of January 6, several offense characteristics have emerged as guideposts in assessing, under § 3142(g)(1), the comparative culpability of a given defendant in relation to fellow rioters.
In one example, these guidelines are stated in Matthew Krol’s case:
“Chief Judge Howell’s six considerations for assessing the relative severity of a Capitol rioter’s conduct provide a helpful framework for the Court’s analysis of this first factor. See Chrestman, 525 F. Supp. 3d at 26-27. “It goes on to use the factors by their nickname, “Four of the six Chrestman factors illustrate Krol’s higher “comparative culpability . . . in relation to fellow rioters.” Id. at 26. First, the first and third Chrestman factors are related here.” and continues, “Krol concedes that he has been indicted on felony charges, but submits that the first Chrestman factor should not weigh in favor of either party, and the Government should not be “reward[ed]” simply for charging him with felonies.”
The Chrestman family has endured quite a bit over the past four years. When Covid hit the country and our overreaching bureaucrats like Fauci and the WHO fear mongered the world to close up shop, Billy found himself without a job. His family’s house payments fell behind and had almost gone into foreclosure. He didn’t have the means to go to the rally on January 6th, he was trying to make sure he wasn’t going to lose his family’s home.
James Knowles was adamant about Billy going to the rally. He would take care of all the expenses. He secured an Airbnb for several of the Proud Boy members and paid for Billy’s share. He also made sure that the bedroom with two beds would be shared by himself and Chrestman. Billy gives more detail in the interview which you can see here…
Why Billy Chrestman? He has no violent charges. He is a family man. He is a hardworking man. He is a Veteran. He’d only been a Proud Boy for a little over a year and had never participated in any of the rallies until January 6th. Why did Jimmy Knowles concentrate on befriending Billy? They say hindsight is 20/20; however, there is nothing clear about why Billy had been targeted.
Now that the Chrestman family has been reunited, there is still much work to be done to help them get back on their feet. They did lose the house Billy raised his children in just after he was incarcerated. He and his wife have an apartment now that they were able to furnish with very nice secondhand items and are feeling blessed. Billy is hopeful to give his daughters and his wife the best Christmas that he can even though the true gift of this Christmas is that he is home with them.
If you are able to help Billy and his family this season, please go to donate here.
For our next interview, we will be looking more into this federal informant, James Knowles, and his role in J6, as well as sharing a never-before-seen video of Ashli Babbitt a short time before her precious life is taken by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd. #JailByrd
