MAGA firebrand Kari Lake has emerged as a top contender for Trump’s ambassador to Mexico amid growing calls for President Trump to give her a job in his administration after she was cheated out of another election.
Lake recently made an appearance at the Mar a Lago, which has become a hub for Trump’s transition team, meetings with nominees and foreign leaders, last month, where she received a warm greeting from President Trump. Supporters of Lake have called for Trump to give Lake a job somewhere on the border, citing her advocacy for Trump’s border policies while running for Governor and Senate in Arizona.
Now, conversations about Lake serving as Ambassador to Mexico have taken place between Trump and Lake, a source familiar told The Gateway Pundit.
Additionally, a new report from Semafore reads, “Kari Lake is a leading contender for the nomination as Donald Trump’s ambassador to Mexico, two people familiar with the situation told Semafor.”
Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers exclaimed, “GREAT PICK!” in an X post Monday.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump announced on Sunday the nomination of his previous Ambassador to Mexico, Christopher Landau, to serve under Secretary of State Nominee Marco Rubio as Deputy Secretary of State.
This comes after Lake’s questionable race for Senate in Arizona. The Gateway Pundit reported that Maricopa County began putting out bogus numbers right when it was expected that Lake would take the lead in the race. We further reported on other bizarre anomalies across the state in Pima, Yuma, and Cochise County. Despite President Trump and GOP candidates backed by Lake winning by a landslide, we’re supposed to believe that Lake lost to radical left Democrat Ruben Gallego.
Recall that Stephen Richer, the top election official in Maricopa County, where over 60% of Arizona voters reside, also sued Kari Lake for defamation ahead of the 2024 election, which he oversaw. It was later revealed in court documents that Richer is a self-proclaimed “anti-MAGA” individual whose life mission, in his own words, is to “make life hell for Kari Lake.” How can anybody trust this guy to run a fair election?

Conservative Mexican film star Eduardo Verástegu, who produced and acted in The Sound of Freedom starring Jim Caviezel, posted a photo with Lake Sunday, commenting, “United, we are stronger!”
Lake replied, “Yes! Together we can make America and Mexico great again.”
