Nithya Raman
Nithya Raman, the Democratic Socialist (communist) running for mayor of Los Angeles, who somehow gained enough votes to bump Spencer Pratt off the ballot once Democrats had a chance to count ballots for days and days, recently tweeted a message of thanks to voters.
Her message was not received well. The replies, some of which you can see below, are amazingly brutal.
This election has been a total disgrace, but there might be a silver lining here. The mask has been ripped off. People can finally see just how corrupt this process has become. Even many people who land somewhere in the middle are convinced that they are witnessing outright fraud.
Raman’s full message on Twitter/X was:
I’m incredibly honored that voters have given us the opportunity to advance to the general election for Mayor of Los Angeles.
To the thousands of supporters who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, donated, and opened their homes for events across the city, and to everyone else who made this moment possible: thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Now our fight for a healthier, safer, more affordable, and more joyful Los Angeles continues. For too long, City Hall has prioritized giving political advantage to powerful interests that fund elections. Meanwhile, working people pay the price in higher rents, depleted services, and a city that has stopped working for them.
If you’re as frustrated by the broken status quo as I am, I hope you’ll join our movement to build a city that works for everyone.
This is the tweet:
I’m incredibly honored that voters have given us the opportunity to advance to the general election for Mayor of Los Angeles.
To the thousands of supporters who knocked doors, made calls, sent texts, donated, and opened their homes for events across the city, and to everyone…

Here is a sample of the replies:
Didnt you concede on election night?
— Gunther Eagleman (@GuntherEagleman) June 9, 2026
The voters had nothing to do with it.

Voters didn’t give you anything
Voters put you in third place
Fraud put you in second place

No one believes you actually won

No Nithya, cheating the vote is not how you win an HONEST election. You didn’t even win your own council district (CD4).
You can never tell me otherwise. pic.twitter.com/c14cHN2tKc

You forgot to thank the inhabitants of skid row who all voted for you without knowing it.

You are a fraud.
— Seth Keshel (@RealSKeshel) June 9, 2026
Even you know it’s all fake.

You didn’t win and you know it.
You’re a foreigner from India who set up NGO’s to rake in millions of dollars in taxpayer money.
I hope you’re investigated, forced to pay back the millions you stole, denaturalized and deported.

Don’t flatter yourself sweetheart
You got in by a very rigged system

No one believes this election was anywhere close to legitimate.

Here’s the problem Raman faces going forward. If she actually ‘wins’ the election, this will be a permanent shadow over her tenure as mayor.
She will never be rid of it.
